The Benefits of Water Aerobics

Water aerobics. Those two words conjure images of my grandmother in a modest one piece bathing suit and a floral swim cap splashing gracefully in the shallow end of the local pool.

While I am not completely off base, aqua fitness (as it is now known), is not just splashing around. It is quite a workout and I love every chlorine filled minute of it.

How I Learned to Love Yoga

“Clear your mind. Take a deep breath.” As someone with asthma and ADHD, that is terrible advice. In all the yoga classes I had tried, I was bored, easily distracted and grossed out by the musty smell of other people sweating profusely within arms length of me.
