“Dads are most ordinary men turned by love into heroes, adventurers, story-tellers, and singers of song.” – Pam Brown
To all the dads of the world – today is your day. Thank you for protecting us, loving us and most of all believing in us. The universe is a better place with you in it.
And a special shoutout to my dad, who always knows just what to say to bring a smile to my face, who taught me that girls can do anything that boys can do and helping me up whenever I fall. I love you dad!
And here’s why. By the end of February, the resolution has been forgotten and you’ve just finished the 3rd box of chocolates that you bought half price for yourself on February 15th. (That post comes later).
The definition of resolution is the firm decision to do or not to do something. The definition of a goal is the desired result of a person’s effort or aim.
This is probably one of my favorite recipes. Banana bread is so delicious and so easy to make. I love it so much that I decided to force it on everyone else this year instead of fruit cake. (Do people even bake that anymore? Blech)!
There is so much to be thankful for this year our families, friends, food on our tables and the Gilmore Girls. I am very thankful for the Gilmore Girls. On November 25th, Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life will be premiering on Netflix. So in honor of both holidays (and yes, a Gilmore Girls marathon is a holiday), I decided to make the Apple Tarts from Kristi Carlson’s cookbook, Eat Like a Gilmore.
Don’t fill up too much on turkey because these tarts would be a perfect dessert for the Thanksgiving table.
